The SnackPack is a mini insulated cooler bag that will hold a small drink and single-serve snacks. It's perfect for school kids who have a morning or afternoon snack or toddlers who need food with them at all times. I live in the middle of nowhere, so I always take a small drink and a few snacks with me, and it's perfect for that! The mesh pocket on the back holds a small ice pack upright to keep everything cold. The "backpack" grab handles are just for fun (not functional backpack straps) but they give this bag a unique look that is worthy of a little giggle (that we ALL need so much right now!) You could also substitute fusible fleece or cotton batting to make a matching packing cube. I've found it perfectly holds one diaper, travel wipes, and a change of clothes for my 1 year old! I toss that in my purse for the school run and I don't need a diaper bag!

I think these would be a really whimsical (but useful!) craft fair item. They only take 1/3 yard of each material and are pretty quick to cut and sew!

As with all Dog Under My Desk patterns, this bag has been designed and tested on a domestic sewing machine (Bernina 570) and the detailed photo instructions are accessible to visual learners. This particular bag is best for advanced beginner sewists.
